A Cikgu CTG's
Journey
01
Phase 1
Potential Cikgu CTG teachers will be identified by their respective State Education Departments, before being recruited by the CTG team. Selected teachers will then be gathered for the programme launch and initial training workshop.
02
Phase 2
Cikgu CTG teachers will be supported in co-designing and implementing the module via subsequent training workshops and one-to-one online consultations. They are also expected to recruit Form 4 students in their schools, prior to running these modules.
03
Phase 3
In Year 1 of Cikgu CTG, teachers will then run 9 core modules on a weekly or bi-weekly basis with the selected Form 4 students. These sessions may also include visits to vocational colleges or universities, and career-sharing engagements. Teachers can also apply for a grant from CTG to support and fund activities related to these modules.
04
Phase 4
In Year 2, Cikgu CTG teachers will guide their students in selecting and applying for post-SPM pathways and scholarships. Teachers will also continue implementing elective modules on a weekly or bi-weekly basis for their students, who will now be in Form 5.
05
Phase 5
At the end of Year 2, students in this programme are able to identify the courses and higher education institutions they want to apply to, or even employment pathways to pursue post-SPM.
